Why Flatra
Because I wanted to experiment and build something useful.
What's different
I want Flatra to be easy to use, and a real tool for judging a flat, not just a pile of ads.
Swipe, don't scroll
Right to keep a flat, left to skip it. Your shortlist builds itself, and you can swipe through it again later.
What the building really sold for
See what other flats in the same building sold for, from State Land Service records. If the ad asks €3,000/m² and the neighbours sold for €2,200, you'll see it.
Every building's age and type
Build year, series (Stalinka, Khrushchyovka, 602…) and renovation for almost every flat, from the national register. Where neither the register nor the ad says, our machine-learning model estimates the building type (marked ★).
Street View, right on the map
Drag the little figure onto any street to look at the building and what's around it, without leaving the map.
Draw your own area
Circle the streets you like with your finger. Only flats inside your loop stay on the map, anywhere in Latvia.
See your city in 3D
On a computer, tilt the map and the buildings rise in 3D, so you see how tall the house is and what stands around it.
Alerts for new flats
Tap the bell in the list and your search is saved. When a new flat appears that fits it, your phone tells you — within the hour, to buy or to rent, anywhere in Latvia. No account, no e-mail.
One list on every device
The flats you saved on your computer, on your phone — and back. More → Link devices, type the short code on the other device, and both show the same list. No account: you can tell a link by its animal, the same one on every linked device.
Flatra on your Home Screen
iPhone: open flatra.lv in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. Android: in Chrome's menu, “Install app”. Flatra then opens like an app — and on iPhone, that is how the alerts work.
